Our Board
Dr Birrell has worked in senior management roles in the healthcare and technology sector for over 20 years including 8 years as CEO of an advanced high growth technology ASX company. She is a co-founder of Apropela and currently Board Chair.
Eric is the Director and Principal of Ascendent - a boutique advisory firm that supports the growth of start-ups and SMEs. With a focus on Deep Tech and socially impactful ventures, he's a strong advocate for female entrepreneurs.
Jason is founder and principal of BrandQuest, a strategy, culture and brand management company that builds enduring and valuable brands. He generously donates his time to both Apropela's Board and Apropela's Portfolio, personally coaching the Portfolio in pitch delivery.
Mandy comes from an Advertising and Media background, publishing magazines in both the UK and Australia for EMAP PLC before moving into Digital Media in the boom of 2000. Mandy is a member of Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).
Melissa is the CEO of Lighter Capital, the pioneer and leading provider of revenue based financing to SAAS companies. She has a deep understanding of the entrepreneur’s journey and the importance of growth capital. Melissa is also a co-founder of Apropela.
Michelle is passionate about building long-term sustainable businesses and relationships. She has experience in launching and growing start-ups, corporate innovation, transformation, and customer experience.
